11. Residential Withdrawal
Residential withdrawal services
support clients to safely
withdraw from AOD
dependence, in a supervised
residential facility. Nova House
is a 5-bed facility that supports
low to medium risk (medically
assessed) clients through the
withdrawal process – typically
7 days in duration.
Some hospitals in the region
also have options for
residential withdrawal for
certain substances.
There are other options for
residential withdrawal in
multiple locations in the state
for those that are unsuitable
for Nova house or local
hospital-based withdrawal.

12. Residential Rehabilitation
The Salvation Army Bendigo
Bridge is an 18-bed, 12-week
residential treatment program for
those aged 18-35. The aims of the
program are to establish an
individual treatment plan, improve
overall health and wellbeing,
address underlying issues that
have led to substance use,
education, building self-eocacy to
support ongoing support and to
rebuild relationships.
Bendigo Health – The Dual
Diagnosis Residential Unit is an
eight-bed voluntary residential
unit designed to treat individuals
with co-occurring mental health
and drug and or alcohol
dependency.
There are other options for
residential rehabilitation
throughout the state. AOD
clinicians will assess suitability
based on client9s needs.
